Over a 3-day period, working only during daylight hours, we had a total of 286 volunteers put in 1,552 hours. We had volunteers from all over Alabama come to help the Paez Family build their home. We also had volunteers from Azarbajahn, Kezitchkan, and Japan volunteer. Their were people of all ages from 16 to 81 coming in to help us with our efforts. In this 3-day period we went from a concrette slab to a house where all the external parts were finished and most of the internal parts as well. Our Lead Contractors from Brewton, Turning Leaf Designs lead the volunteer efforts, and were super great with the volunteers. Everyone here at Troy-Pike Habitat for Humanity as well as the Paez Family would like to take this chance to thank all the volunteers from everywhere who helped make another family's life better. You are deeply appreciated. |
